Katherine Heigl has revealed that she grew up in a white bubble, and how this experience impacted the way she raised her adopted multiracial kids. In an interview with actress Katherine Heigl, who plays "Firefly Lane" and "Grey's Anatomy" actress shared that her appearance didn't concern her. But after talking to her adoptive sister in South Korea about how society was treating them, she became aware of how much different their lives were. I wanted to know Meg if when she was out with her parents, she got a particular treatment but when she was on her own, she got a completely different kind of treatment. She answered, "Oh yeah, always!" Heigl admitted to her parents that it made her realize just the extent of her ignorance. Her anger grew at the time, and chose to channel her anger into assist her daughters who were adopted by her. Heigl has a four year old son and a 13-year-old husband, Josh Kelley. The couple adopted Nancy Leigh (age 12) from South Korea and Adalaide (age 8) and is black in 2009.
